with François Bellehumeur and Eric Demay, GSMPRJCTº, for the Cosmodôme
As part of a permanent exhibit for the Cosmodôme, we use game design principles to educate visitors about the complex process of building the International Space Station. In the space of 10 minutes, this exhibit conveys a condensed history of the ISS's assembly from 1998 to present, demonstrating the necessity of international cooperation to accomplish that project. With the ever-growing space station projected onto a central tabletop display, and its newly-built components displayed on wall-mounted interactive touch screens, teams of visitors must gather parts from around the room and bring them to the ISS, while managing resources like air, food, and funding. The game's concept was developed and refined over many iterations of design and play-testing.
